Heavy rains and lack of ventilation for this Waco attic created a perfect place for mold

This is an example of why ventilation in your home attic is so vital. With the record rainfalls in September and October this Waco home became a perfect breeding ground for mold. When SERVPRO of Greater Waco’s technicians arrived onsite the attic air was so wet that the interior atmosphere had hit its dew point and condensed (or rained) inside. SERVPRO of Greater Waco had to remove all the wet insulation and the affected customer contents. We then HEPA vacuumed the entire attic, and treated the affected areas with a mold stain remover. The next day we finished the treatment up with a mold control spray which encapsulated the wood’s surface to help deter any future growth.
