Are Those Cobwebs in the Corner?
This laundry room is in a Robinson area home, that had a small fire on the opposite side of the home. The laundry room suffered light smoke damage, and “gained some cobwebs.” Said the homeowner. The homeowner was positive that there were never any cobwebs there prior to the fire. While they may look like cobwebs, those black web like structures in the corner are actually called soot tags, sometimes known as soot webs. They are a result of synthetic and petroleum-based items that have burned in the fire. The particles cling together easily and form in cooler areas of the structure as the fire diminishes. They are very easily smudged and take a trained person to clean them to keep them from permanently smudging your walls. As you can see SERVPRO of Greater Waco was able to remove the soot tags and to clean the rest of the room as well.
